Crystal Player 1.9 is a Windows 98, 2000, XP & Vista video player. Its advanced features encompass audio/video filters, codecs (with auto-downloading when required), skins, zoom, subtitles, etc. It is ideal for playing short videos but most of all, for long movies, all in high quality.
The software strengths are its speed and its "on-screen" menu system that will show up on demand while you are watching a movie. This menu system that appears when you move the cursor over it (even playing in fullscreen mode), offers colour, contrast, brightness, sound volume, subtitles, audio/video filters, and a very useful progress bar which is displayed at the bottom of the screen and allows you to access any section of the video.
It supports most video file formats such as AVI, MPEG, WMV, DivX, 3GP, ASF, MOV, MPEG, OGM, RM, among many others; as well as subtitles such file types as SRT, SMI, SUB, JS, DKS, MPL, RT, SMIL, and SSA. And as it doesn´t utilize Windows
multimedia player engine, it won´t suffer its limitations.
In addition, Crystal Player is also capable of performing screenshots in JPEG or BMP formats, supports XML dynamic skin, zoomig, dragging, and many other capabilities that you will soon discover for free in its trial version.
Note: some of the full version features are not available in the free trial one (such as audio/video filters).
